Enrolments

Thank you for your interest in St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School, Emerald and on behalf of our students, staff, parents and Parish, we extend a warm welcome to you and your family.  

We understand choosing a school for your child is a very important decision.  Here at St Brigid’s we provide a safe and supportive faith filled environment for your children to learn and develop. We are committed to providing a welcoming, family atmosphere that fosters the Gospel values, student well-being & academic excellence.

Following the way of St Brigid, we strive to see the spirit of Jesus in our actions and the actions of others.  Our School Motto “Gentleness and Strength” encourages our whole school community to act with gentleness but with strength in what we know to be right.

Completing your Enrolment Application


St Brigid’s Catholic School has moved to an Online Enrolment System. Please read the ‘Application for Enrolment’ form carefully so you are aware of our expectations as far as your child’s enrolment at St Brigid's. We are all aware that primary education is an important time when educational foundations are built upon, and seeds for the future are sown.

Enrol now for Prep-Year 6, 2023

The online application is completed in three stages.

1. Enrolment Application 

The following documentation will be required in PDF format to be attached when requested:

  • Birth certificate or extract or identity documents (certified copy or original sighted if applicable) 

  • Sacramental certificates (if applicable)

  • Health care or concession card (if applicable) 

  • Documentation relating to additional needs (any reports, action plans, assessments, etc) (if applicable)

  • Guardian's driver license 

  • Court order, parenting plans, access restrictions etc (if applicable)

  • Immunisation certificate (only required for students enrolling in primary schools for the first time) 

  • Latest school report and/or reference from previous schools  

    If your child is NOT an Australian Citizen, you will need to provide:

  • Passport or travel documents

  • Current visa and previous visa documentation

  • Evidence of the visa the student has applied for (if the student holds a bridging visa)

 2. Enrolment Terms and Conditions & Payment of Enrolment Fee.

When St Brigid's are ready to progress, you will receive an email with the enrolment Terms & Conditions attached to sign electronically. Once Signed, you will be immediately transferred to the payment screen to pay the $30 enrolment fee.

3. Enrolment interviews
Applicants will be invited to attend an Enrolment Interview at the School. It is important that at least one parent or carer, along with the prospective student attend. The interview involves a more detailed explanation of the ethos and educational practices of St Brigid’s and seeks a commitment to these practices. Tours of the School will be offered following the interview. It is important to understand that offers of enrolment at the school are not made at the interview.
