Sport Program
Each year we have a Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming Carnivals. All St Brigid’s carnivals are run as whole-school events to foster the development of participation, encouragement and team spirit in our students.
St Brigid’s offers students a range of sporting opportunities. They can represent St Brigid’s in school competitions in sports including touch football, netball, rugby league, rugby union and cricket. We have our own netball and rugby league teams which represent our school annually at the Catholic Schools Challenge Cup Carnival.

Representative School Sport:
St Brigid’s also provides students the opportunity to participate in the following Representative School Sport Pathway: Emerald District -> Central Highlands -> Capricornia -> Queensland.

Swimming Lessons:
In the lead up to our swimming carnival in Term 4, students will participate in a two week Swimming and Water Safety Block. In the seven lessons, students are ability grouped and work at their level swimming stroke and water safety over the course of two weeks.
Sporting schools:
St Brigid’s aims to offer one after school Sporting Schools program each term. The sport which is offered changes each term to offer students the opportunity to have exposure to different sports without needing to register with a club.
