Specialist Areas

All students receive specialist lessons in Physical Education and The Arts delivered by teachers with qualifications specific to these areas. 

School Sport

Annual School sporting includes:

  • Cross Country

  • Athletic Carnival

  • Swimming Carnival

  • Challenge Cup (Netball & Rubgy)

St Brigid’s is a member of the Central Highlands School Sports Association. Relevant information is provided prior to selection trials. St Brigid’s also has teams that compete in many sports specific carnivals throughout the school year.


The library is a wonderful place full of books, games, Lego , puzzles and more! Students visit the library with their class once a week to borrow books and listen to a story. Before school and at first lunch students are welcome to come to the library to play with Lego, read, draw, play games or puzzle.

SORA app

Catholic schools across the Rockhampton Diocese have access to large ebook collection through the SORA app. Instructions for logging into the app can be found here. 


Scholastic Bookclub and Book Fair

The library hosts 2 book fairs a year in Term 2 and Term 4 and distributes 8 issues of bookclub per year. These events help the school buy new books as all sales earn a commission that is used to grow the library collection.
